If you love adventure and the outdoors but also have a taste for the finer things in life, then our Waipu clamping experience might be JUST for you!

We provide luxe pop up camping experiences at Uretiti campground in Waipu just 1.5 hours from Auckland CBD. We’re on a mission to provide an experience quite like no other. Imagine sleeping under the stars in ultimate style in a cosy bell tent surrounded by nature with most of your homely comforts.

All you need to do is reserve your preferred dates with us, book your campsite directly with DOC and we will do the rest.

The only things you will need to bring are your food, drinks and yourself. We advise you to bring warm clothes for the evenings. Sunblock, a hat and long sleeve shirts are also advised for during the day.

*Above pricing is based on 2 guests per tent, however our glamping set-ups are suitable for up to 4 guests, please get in touch for discounted rates for additional guests per tent.

Reserve Your Prefered Date

We are a separate business to the campsite and all of our guests need to make their campsite booking directly with the Department of Conservation (DOC). We will send you instructions on how to book your campsite after you submit your reservation request.

Activities

Around Waipu

You will be spoiled for choice. May it be a drive into Matakana for the markets, a dive or snorkel tour at Goat Island or one of the amazing walks to the waterfalls or glow worm caves.

Piroa Falls Track

Piroa Falls is located in the Waipu Gorge Scenic Reserve. Follow a 200 m track across the Ahuroa River and on to the picturesque Piroa Falls.

Goat Island Snorkel & Diving

The country’s oldest marine reserve and it’s great for diving.  Be sure to keep an eye out for the huge old snapper that cruise around the southwest corner of the island.

Tawharanui

This park boasts some of our region’s most beautiful white sand beaches, rolling pastures, shingled bays, native coastal forest and regenerating wetlands.

Matakana Market

Get your supplies each Saturday at the  Farmers’ Market in Matakana. A showcase of artisans, growers and farmers in
the region.

Mangawhai Cliffs Walkway

The rugged beauty of New Zealand’s coast unfolds with panoramic views offering spectacular photo opportunities along
this walk.

Waipu Caves

Walk through picturesque limestone landscape across farmland and regenerating bush and be rewarded with the sight of millions of glow worms.
